When I took over the helm as the CEO at JPC in 2009, I successfully re-positioned the company as a strategic property agent of the City of Johannesburg.
The JPC has the sole mandate to manage the property portfolio on behalf of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality (COJ).
The property portfolio under my leadership has a total historical value of ZAR 9237 billion which comprises 29454 properties. The market value of this portfolio is over ZAR 45 billion.
This portfolio is diverse with various asset classes that have the potential to provide transformation opportunities as well as sound benefits which enable the city to achieve its economic, social, and transformational goals and objectives. In 2013, I managed the merger of three large property aligned businesses of the City of Johannesburg, integrating to create a “Super Landlord” managing all aspects of property, namely Property Management, Asset
